CARMEN GARCIA: Westport, CO Mayo, Ireland; My interest in complementary therapies started when I was introduced to Reiki healing in 2001. My qualifications to date are a diploma in Anatomy and Physiology and a certificate in Reflexology with the Association of Reflexologists,plus I am also qualified to perform Indian Head Massage Craniosacral Therapy Reiki and Seichem. Complementary therapies are used alongside orthodox treatments to assist the body to heal itself. The body can become out of balance due to stress, pain or illness and often requires a helping hand to return to former health and vitality. I feel it is very important to keep my skills up to date and attend post-graduate courses on regular basis. I have completed courses in treating cancer patients and pregnant women with Reflexology. As a therapist I am bound by a code of Professionalism and Ethics. Confidentiality and client care are always of utmost importance. All therapies that I practice are non-intrusive and most people can benefit from them,including children and the elderly.
